  • ATTENTION RIDERS - Submit scores for year end awards to Sarah Edwards or via this google form https://forms.gle/Sh1ft19fqGfRqhnWA by November 30, so they can be tallied and posted on the website. Competitors will then have 2 weeks to confirm the scores and placings before awards will be ordered. Please check the current list of 2022 volunteer hours. Once awards have been ordered, there will be no more corrections. So, get those points in and double check them ASAP!!
     

  • We had a wonderful turnout for the Biomechanics of Riding Clinic with Jessica Bortner-Harris on August 13 and 14 at the Alphin-Stuart Livestock Arena at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. 
     

  • Several SWVADA members attended the 2021
    VADA Awards Banquet in Charlottesville.

  • SWVADA Educational Sunday and 2021 
    Awards Presentation was held on March 20 
    at Virginia Tech's Alphin-Stuart Arena. We had
    a great turnout despite the brisk weather. Congratulations to all our 2021 SWVADA and BREA award winners! And special thanks to all our presenters and demo riders for some really informative sessions.
     

  • The dressage arena is getting more colorful! USEF made major Dressage Attire Rule Changes for 2022. These were discussed by SWVADA member and USEF Technical Delegate Tammy Nichols at Educational Sunday. Please take a look at them here. 
     

  • SWVADA shows and clinics cannot happen without our volunteers. We provide lunch and are happy to work around your ride times if you are showing. No experience needed - on the job training cheerfully provided. Volunteer hours are required to qualify for year end awards. Please contact SWVADA volunteer coordinator Sarah Edwards if you can help out.
     

  • Your 2023 SWVADA Membership renewal is due December 1. 
     

  • The Virginia Dressage Association (VADA) is excited to announce that its new website is up and running at virginiadressage.org.
     

  • The USDF Regional Schooling Show Award Program offers regional recognition to USDF Group Members competing in participating non-USEF-licensed/non-USDF-recognized competitions. More information is available here, and complete  program rules may be found on the USDF website.

  • If you'd like to receive monthly SWVADA eBlasts, which contain the most recently organization information as well as a list of upcoming events, please email SWVADANews@gmail.com.
     

  • The 2019 Dressage Tests are now available online. Our Resources page has  links to these plus 2109 Prix Caprilli, Eventing and Western Dressage tests.

  • Green Hill Park Equestrian Center, one of the area's most popular facilities, is working on an arena improvement project. This facility's existence depends on membership fees, and support from area horsemen is essential to keep it open. Click here for information on the project and what YOU can do to help.​​​ 

  • SWVADA Board Meetings are held on the third Monday of every month. Please contact SWVADA President Laura Nelson if you'd like to attend. Minutes of previous meetings are available on our Resources page.​
