Thanks April 19th Schooling Show Volunteers and Riders!

The SWVADA Schooling Show on April 19th was very successful. Thanks to all of the competitors for entering. It was great to see so many SWVADA members in the arena. We had a total of 59 rides. Many thanks to all of the volunteers that helped. It was wonderful to have people volunteer, instead of having to ask for help. They worked several hours and were very efficient.

What a great group that made our day, go smoothly. Laura Nelson, Ken Palmer, Bob Whitehurst, Janet Brown, Ellen Aiken, Heather Cowan, Sarah Tweedie, Jean Bost-Moore, Sue Egolf, Gary Goodale, Gail Stanley, Megan Jones, Brigitte Peterson, and Lucy Locant.

Show Reminders!

**Remember the new mandatory trailer entrance, which is clearly marked on your right. Watch for signs and follow the directions! Cars and trucks without trailers should not use the trailer entrance and should continue on another 0.5 miles and the Green Hill Park Equestrian Center along with its main entrance will be clearly visible on your right.

**Remember to pack your patience and smiles.

We finally have the 2008 Licensed Show Entry Form available on our website! Please go to the "Resources" Section of the website, click on "Forms" and you will find it.

Check out Member Salutes!

This is just the beginning. We want to know about YOU! What were your equestrian accomplishments during the year 2007? Do you want to share the accomplishments of a fellow member? Send us the highlights of your year. I'd love to get photos to add to the website for both the Member Salutes and the Photo Gallery.

BOARD MEETINGS

Next Meeting: Monday 19, May 2008 7 PM at Hollywood's Restaurant & Bakery in Roanoke. Members are invited to attend board meetings. Join us for dinner at 6:00 before the meeting. Please let Blanche Mahoney know if you are coming, so that she provide the restaurant with a final count. We meet the third Monday of every month: same time and same place!
